Aromatherapy Hair Treatment 

In the salon, we use aromatherapy oils in our conditioning treatments. Veronica is an aromatherapist and has designed a few different blends for us to use. I have just made mention of the few we might use.

Rosemary: has a calming effect and increases fullness and shine to hair, softens course hair and aids in the growing process after an illness and the various treatments.  The ancients believed that it stopped balding, To the Greeks rosemary symbolized love, friendship, and remembrance. This plant was a common part of the ancient ceremony of marriage as it was known to be a gift from Aphrodite. In the Middle Ages it placed under the pillow of children to prevent bad spirits visiting them.

Lavender: repairs hair damage helps control itchy scalp and dandruff. The ancient Egyptians used lavender in the embalming process, the ancient Romans used it in cooking and in Medieval times the women would hang washed clothes to dry over lavender shrubs to dry and in France in a major component in making perfume.

Geranium: also used as a scalp conditioner and all that is mentioned above. the ancient Egyptians used Geranium for anxiety, fatigue, and a mood enhancer.
